God

The true God has revealed Himself as the one eternal, uncreated and infinite being. He is the creator of all things, seen and unseen. He is the Godhead, a plurality that is comprised of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  Genesis 1:1

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  Colossians 1:16-17

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:   Romans 1:20

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.   I John 5:7

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. II Corinthians 13:14

The Holy Bible

The King James version of the Holy Bible, which includes the Old and New Testaments, contain a full revelation of the will of God in relation to man. These infallible and authoritative words were given by inspiration of God and are alone sufficient for everything relative to the faith, practice, and conduct of a Christian. Within its pages lies the hope of the entire world.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.   II Peter 1:21

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   II Timothy 3:16-17

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.  I Thessalonians 2:13

Jesus Christ

Foretold by the prophets and described by the apostles, Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. As the Son of God, He came to earth in the form of a man and taught the purest truth and performed the most astonishing miracles. As God in the flesh, His divine nature was infinite, uncreated, and eternal, and not derived from any other being.

Jesus Christ, as the Savior of the world, took on Himself the nature of man and died on a cross for the whole human race without respect of persons. On the third day after His crucifixion and burial, He rose from the dead. Soon after His resurrection, He ascended into Heaven to be an eternal mediator for the human race before the presence of God. The scriptures teach that through His life, death, and resurrection He has provided all the necessary elements for salvation. He is our Savior, High Priest, Intercessor, Redeemer, Lord, and the King of Kings.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Isaiah 9:6

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.   Matthew 1:20-23

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

The Holy Ghost

From the beginning, God sent his Holy Spirit, or the Holy Ghost, into the world to enlighten, strive with, and convince men of sin, righteousness and judgment. From the first chapter of Genesis to the last chapter of the Revelation, there are over 130 references regard to the existence of the Spirit. The Holy Ghost is a revelation of God's nature. The writers of the Bible were inspired and guided by the power of the Holy Ghost. This Spirit proceeds from the Father. This Spirit is God acting in man. The Holy Ghost is the spirit that sanctifies.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.  Job 33:4

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  John 4:24

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  John 14:25-26

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.  Acts 1:5

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  Acts 1:8

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.  Acts 2:33

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  Romans 8:9

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  Romans 8:14

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.  Romans 14:7

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.  Romans 15:6

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.  I Corinthians 6:19

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  II Corinthians 2:12-14

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  II Corinthians 3:16

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.  II Corinthians 13:14

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.  I Thessalonians 1:5-6

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.  II Timothy 1:13-14

Heaven and Hell

The Bible teaches that humans have a two dimensional existence. One dimension is that we have a natural body, a living, breathing creature that is capable of carrying out an earthly existence. This natural body is temporary, has a finite existence, and will return to the dust of the earth. The second and invisible dimension of a human being is the existence of a spiritual body. This invisible spiritual body, or what is commonly called the soul, will live forever. The eternal disposition of our soul or spiritual body is completely determined by our conduct during our stay on this earth in our natural body. There is a reward for righteousness and a penalty for sin. According to the Bible, the righteous will have an eternal existence in Heaven with God and sinners to an everlasting punishment in Hell with Satan.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. I John 5:11-13

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: Matthew 5:12

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mark 9:43-46

For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

Redemption

The first man, Adam, was created in the spiritual likeness and image of God, and was holy and righteous in his relationship with God. God gave Adam the power to choose good or evil.

Adam was tempted by Satan, and made a conscious decision to disobey God.As a result of his choice, Adam lost his righteous standing with God, and became morally corrupt in his nature. This corruption in Adam's nature brought about his spiritual death and spiritual separation from God. Consequently, this moral corruption was passed to all his posterity, and we, as descendants from Adam, have inherited the nature of sin.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21

God has given every human being the freedom to choose good or evil, and holds each one of us accountable for our actions. Because of our inherited sinful nature, we do not have the spiritual power to continually choose good and to please God. To counteract this sinful nature and to bring man into a savable state, God, in his infinite love, brought Jesus Christ into the world for the purpose of redeeming mankind.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: I Peter 1:18-19

By his death on the cross, Jesus Christ made himself a sufficient sacrifice, oblation and satisfaction for the sin of the whole world. The power of the Holy Spirit strives with and enlightens all men, thus putting them into a savable state. This power is not inherent in any man's nature, but is graciously bestowed on him by God. Therefore, every human soul that chooses to serve God may be saved from the sinful nature, and be restored to a righteous standing with God.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Forgiveness

Forgiveness, or the pardon of all committed sins, is an instantaneous act of God's infinite mercy in behalf of a repentant soul, trusting only in the merits of Jesus Christ. This act of forgiveness is absolute in respect of all past committed sins, all being forgiven where any are forgiven. Because God will not dwell in an unclean temple, forgiveness, the first work of grace, is necessary to prepare a persons heart for the Lord to sanctify them.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  1 John 1:9

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.  Acts 3: 19

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.  Colossians 1: 12-14

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.  Psalms 103: 11-13

Sanctification

Sanctification is the act of God's grace by which the soul is cleansed from the nature of sin, and made holy in the sight of God. This second work of grace is received instantaneously after we totally commit our life to God, and is evidenced by being filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Inbred sin, or the nature of sin, is removed from our soul and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live victorious lives without sinning against God.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  John 17: 17-19

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.  Hebrews 10: 14-17

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  Hebrews 9: 11-14

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.  1 John 3: 8-9

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.  John 3: 1-8

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.  John 14: 16-18

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  John 16: 7-13
